I have Ghost 15 set up to backup on weekdays. I'm a newb to this product. I was having problems with a hard drive and quickly downloaded Ghost and made a complete system backup. Yay!! Next day hard drive completly crashed. Bought 2 new hard drives. Setup one as primary then used Ghost recovery to grab the image I had just made and stored to my external drive. Loaded that to new hard drive and viola! Ghost had saved the day. I then added my second drive, called it D: and made a backup from C: to D: manually, then set up the job to run automatically. (Windows 7 Ultimate. HP Pavillion.)
I think some of the issue may be that I THINK my original C: had a D: partition that I think contained a factory image from HP. Now my new hard drive, which is the recipient of the Ghost image restore has a primary partition and 9.5 GB unallocated partition. I didn't create that. It must have come from the Ghost restore.
As you can see from the history, sometimes it works. Other times it doesn't. Based on what I read about this error message, should I try to get rid of the 9.5 GB unallocated space by tacking it on to the C: partition using that Boot It tool?
