Steps to Reproduce:
- Using the Backup component of Norton Security Suite I setup a Backup Set with the default settings.
- Ran the backup.
- I observed that files from "C:\Users\Public\Documents" were missing from the backup.
- I then manually added "C:\Users\Public\Documents" with an explicit Include.
- Ran the backup.
- I observed that only one folder from "C:\Users\Public\Documents" was added to the backup.
- I then manually added a subfolder "C:\Users\Public\Documents\CustomFolder" to the Include list.
- Ran the backup.
- Observed that "C:\Users\Public\Documents\CustomFolder" was finally included in the backup and that it was recursed as expected.
Why was "C:\Users\Public\Documents" and its subfolder not included in the default settings?
Why did Backup still fail to include the subfolders when "C:\Users\Public\Documents" was explicitly Included?
Test System: Norton Security Suite version 20.2.0.19 as distributed by Comcast, Microsoft Windows 8 Enterprise 64-bit.
