'Backup Identity Safe password file too large to use'??!!

I recently purchased Norton Utilities 15 (after using it for several years until recently) and I let it 'fix' my registry and services. Upon rebooting, I got the dreaded BSOD. I wasn't able even to boot into Safe Mode without getting the BSOD. Windows 7 DVD wasn't able to repair it (active partition is on physical disk 2) so I was left with no recourse but to reinstall Windows 7 Professional for the first time since it came out.

Notwithstanding the pain in the neck from having to do that and having email unavailable during an important time (closing on a new house), I was happy to finally get to the point where I could boot into Windows again. However, when I went to import my Identity Safe passwords, it says the backup file is too large to use!!:smileysurprised: PLEASE tell me there's a fix for this!! I've tried cutting the file in half (made it a txt file and cut half of it off into another file) but it recognizes it then as a corrupt file until I put it back together and properly named it.

How can I access my Identity Safe backup? Why would Norton make it big enough to back up but then too big to import back?

Thank you very much for any help you can give... I really need those passwords!
