Hello rj7500
The backup uses incremental technology as well as history versioning. Each backup is technically its own separate backup and is accessible as such via the Restore Files option.
The first time you backup any file its transferred in full. After that, as long as it remains selected for backup and was not purged, it will upload the incremental changes. As a result of that the backup times will be less than the first transfer. This also means if you add a lot of new content that particular backup will take some time to process.
Please also read my message on how restore works. It will help you with what to expect when restoring as well as little more insight on how the files are backed up.
