I just got my norton360 version 4.0.0.127 loaded. Is there a way to make a backup copy of this version to a CD.
Grüß Gott, NAJA! Jawohl es hat geholfen! Danke! Fazit: positiv. Ihnen noch mal meinen besten Dank. Eberhard Pabst
Go into your Backup settings and check in the What section. If you are just using the default file types, that may be picking up the Dropbox entries.
I have no experience with Dropbox. Does it show up in Windows Explorer? If so, go to the Dropbox entry and right click on it and beside the Norton 360 entry, click on Exclude from Backup.
Hallo Naja,
Trotzdem Danke.
Hallo @Black Cat
So gelöschte Dateien lassen sich nicht wiederherstellen.

Um, if I understand.....you're reporting that while on worldwinner.com.
Norton UI opens with the white up chevron over Backup tab >
FWIW ~ for a nano-second....upon Norton UI call.
I do see the white up chevron over the Backup tab before moving to the Security tab.
as always your mileage may vary
A disk image is an exact bit for bit copy of everything on the drive being copied. So if you restore that image to a new hard drive, it will be exactly the same as the computer you originally had. Your emails included.
So by using this I can get a copy of everything I have on my C Drive to then transfer to a new computer? Will it also back up all my files especially emails or do they need to be done separately
+1 for Macrium Reflect free, I’ve been using the full version & there’s only minor differences between the two.
Both do full & differential backups; the paid does incremental backups too.

The backup feature of Norton Security is not meant as a full system backup. It only backs up files and folders you choose. It will not backup up running system files.
What you should look into is a disk imaging software, that will allow a complete system restore to a new hard drive. One that many of us use is the free version of Macrium Reflect. https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree
Keep an eye on the times for a while. As you make any changes to file/folders being backed up, it can cause a complete search/scan to occur again. Maybe all your housekeeping has triggered this.
Just ran it 5 minutes searching up to 37321 file, then "searches" another 7 mins finding no more files. Collect is less then 30 seconds and upload less than a minute.
Searching files used to be a couple of minutes for same number of files. Drive is cleaned and defragged.
No encrypted files
And did you check to see if you are backing up any encrypted files/folders?
Drive is 1Tb and 50% free space. When BU launches it takes forever scanning for files, both before it finds any and after it finds the last, the upload goes quickly less than a minute.
How much free space is available on the external drive?
External drive.
Gary V:I'm having the same problem. New PC and the backup ran very fast for a month or so, now spends forever searching for files (37,000), even though it finds them all in a minute or two. BU is to a hard drive that hasn't changed. Cleaned and organized the SSD but no change. Considering dumping Norton due to the inconvenience
What hard drive? An external drive or an internal drive? Please say it is not your C drive.
Many thanks for your comments. It took a while but backup completed, and seems to be working OK now.
