I have been running NIS 2011 on Windows XP3 for a couple of months with no problems. Today on boot up I got the blue screen of death with bad Pool Caller error implicating PQV2i.sys. I googled that and it is a Symantec file.
For some reason, after booting into safe mode and then restarting the computer it booted up fine. This has actually happened before sporadically and it seems to just fix itself by rebooting into safe mode and the rebooting normally.
Any idea of how to prevent this from happening? It mentions the error occuring after intalling new software but clearly not the case here.
Any other steps I might take to recover?
