I just found threads from DIRTYLINEN, SERVSOL, and MAVEVYO which are listed below. I am opening this new thread guys so that you know you are not alone with your network issues.
I have been having problems using IE7 on computers with which the favorites links are sitting on a shared folder on another computer on my peer to peer network. I originally thought that the problem was IE7 but now reading other posts, it's more and more a network issue. This one baffles me because I never made it to writing data to the network, all I am doing is reading a file which contains shortcuts.
Also, when I started on the subject, I was on V25, updated to V33, problem still there, updated to V16.2.0.7 and I still have the problem.
Here is the link to my thread describing my issue.

I also posted comments in another thread by CODYDOG which has never mentioned a network but who has IE7 crashing like me.

Then, all of a sudden, I read others are having problems with which networks shares are not working properly IF the shares are sitting on the computer feeding the data and IF the computer is running either nis or nav 2009.
DIRTYLINEN POSTED THE FOLLOWING:

SERVSOL POSTED THE FOLLOWING:

MAVEVYO is getting network problems also.
I, like the other users, have had to go back to a previous version of NIS to make the shares work without problems, the way it's been working for years.
I don't know if Norton's techsupport is aware of the severity of this problem nor do they acknowedge a fix is forthcoming. In my case, I know they told me they were working on it BUT are they working on the IE7 issue or the network issue and have they made a link to all of this.
