Be Warned Against Norton Family

Unless Customer Support for the Premier version of Norton Family is at least ten times better than for the free version, I cannot recommend. On the face of it, the fault does not lie with the KatieQ contingent, but with regular tech support to whom KatieQ said she forwarded my concern almost a week ago. To date I have received absolutely no suggestions. Long story short, this has effectively blocked any functioning internet filter for me since the unfortunate day that I installed NPC (Norton Parental Control). (Apparantly, I can't even pay to receive tech support for my problem.)

More specifically, immediately after registering and installing (and after uninstalling K9--a very good filtering program, by the way), upon trying to login to adjust settings I have since then always been met with a message indicating failure to connect due to a problem with Norton's server.  (See full message copied below.)  After a few days of that, I re-installed K9 hoping for some filtering coverage. However, it is clear that K9 cannot function properly while Norton is installed. I have been asking for a method to uninstall for (as I mentioned) almost a week now.  In any case, the best I can do at this point is warn others which I will continue to do repeatedly (at least until I receive some effective tech support).

Here's that error message:
