Be wary of renewal date and Norton early billing practices

Be wary that Norton will not honor their 60 day refund window according to the renewal dates THEY record on your account.

Norton stated my renewal date was 1/19/24 but renewed it in December and would not honor their 60 day refund window by 2/27/24.  They stated:

A reason why we charge weeks in advance of your yearly renewal date is to ensure that in the event there is a billing failure, there is enough time to notify our customers to update the billing information prior to the subscription ending - thus resulting in being unprotected.

I have no problem with this practice IF their stated renewal date was honored.  FYI, they WILL NOT allow a refund, timing is according to Norton AND they claim this community forum is the ONLY mechanism they have to register customer complaints or grievances to improve their practices or simply "listen" to concerns.  No action likely to occur but I am using the "forum" to document my dissatisfaction.  Will be moving to another company with more responsive customer service.
