Behavioral Protection is turned off and clicking Fix Now doesn't fix the problem

I have had this issue since I first installed Norton. I have tried the recommended fix (delete and re-install) many times. That does not work, the problem returns. I have recently totally rebuilt my WIndows 11 machine, and the same issue is still occuring. Any suggestions?

Hi, I was about to post a thread about this same issue I have when I saw this one. My Norton security was running fine till I did a manual live update this afternoon, and noticed red X in system tray Icon, ran fix and says same thing as you? Probably a bad update issued, wonder if others have same problem as us?
Running version 22.24.8.36 Windows 10

Hello and welcome to the new forums. Are you both on version 22.24.8.36? Paul did you the removal tool for versions 22 or 24?

Hello SA,
I decided to try the good old restart of pc and it would appear to have fixed it for me, green tick back in system tray Norton icon.

Regards Brummie

Good news brummie!! Thanks for the post back. Sometimes a simple restart fixes things.
