Hello,
I need to setup a network of 15 clean/same model/hardware Dell Optiplex Computers with Windows XP Professional. It takes about 4 hours for each computer to setup and install the required software,
patches, antivirus, etc. I purchased Norton Ghost 14, have not received it yet, but I would appreciate on advise
on the best way to span the installation to all the rest of the computers without having to go through
the 4+ hour setup/install on each, but only to finally configure user specific parameters (license activation,
IP, user, email, etc. on each).
What would be the most efficient way to do it and save me the 60+ hours by cloning the configuration from
the first pc? It is too much time running setups, downloading patches, updates, again and again.
I am new to the product, so I would like to know the best way, I downloaded the manual but it is not
very helpful for my particular case. Would it be via network (peer to peer)?
Or put the other pc's drive in an external USB/SATA drive enclosure to copy using Ghost and then re-install it back
on the original pc, once copied?
Thank you very much for the help.
Rick
