There is a single security risk out there than can cause problems without detecting this assembly code: int 19h.
if the hlt instruction isn't fired, the computer could hang, as int 19h is the bios reboot instruction (this is coming from a real programmer).
my idea is downloaded files from untrusted websites should have the COMPLETE BYTECODE scanned for an unprotected int 19h.
not only would that make norton stronger, it could save data and important documents
