Black Screen

whenever I go to a web page I have not been to before and start to fill in some info - Norton seems to take over and my whole IE web page goes black - absolutely nothing I can do will change it UNLESS I can see the top part of the screen (and not always) that says X Not for this site.

So its like it wants to save the info and is asking me but I dont have that option.  I cna only click the X to get back to where I was.

Im using IE9 and Norton 360 is 20.2.1.22 version

I have had lots of problems with this version of Norton.  As mentioned before my Vault wont always open, I have to close and reopen tabs to get it to work.  I dont like the vault only gives me access to 8 logins in the drop down menu.

Many, many issues.  I wish they would issue a software fix.

You need to change the IE9 'Accelerated graphics' option to 'Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering*'.

Please see the following post for more details on this issue and a link to the instructions on how to change this setting.

Hi Kat,
The version of 360 you are running isn't the latest. Please update it to version 20.3.0.36. You don't mention your operating system, what is it?

The line you are seeing is your identity safe asking you if you want to safe your username and password for that site. Are the pages you are trying to access the log in pages for some service?

Please post back after you have updated 360 and tell us about the remaining problems, if any

Thanks

I checked for updated versions and it says

Your Norton product version is up-to-date.
You already have the latest version of your Norton product installed on your computer.

So i guess it updated itself sometime.  I use windows 7

This I know but it will ONLY let me use the X on that line, nothing else works or shows up and the whole page is black.

It happens most when I go to a new site and fill in my info .  I cant continue , save or anything until I go up and click the X.

I get that in firefox too.  It's a pain, I know, but I found I have to be quick when loading a site and be ready to click the "allow" or "X" to continue loading the page, if I'm not fast enough it won't fully load the page.  I don't think that's an issue with Norton, more like the settings in the browser.

Please try the fix I suggested above and let us know the outcome.

Thanks
