Blackberry playbook remote access to computer through Norton 360 Firewall

Hope all are doing well.  I have recently procured a BB Playbook and would like to remotely access my computer from my tablet.  The problem is I don't know how to tell the Norton 360 firewall to allow the access.  I wish I was more educated in computer protocols, but, hark alas, not my specialty.  I am a excellent researcher, but I haven't had much luck in my hunting for information.

The computer is running Windows 7 enterprise, it is a laptop that will not always be connected to the same Wi-Fi network (have a work one and a home one, both secure though).  So, my questions are:

1. how do I change the settings on the firewall?

2. Will my laptop and tablet have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network for this to work? Tablet accesses computer using the IP address of the computer.

I ask question 2 because if I go into work on Saturday for a meeting would like to leave computer at home.

Thank you in advance for your time and expertise in this endeavor,
