This is a follow up thread from Tech Outpost. I have a Toshiba L55-S5153 Laptop, on which the harddrive failed. When I purchased the PC, I created those Recovery DVD's. Now that I need them, I've found they do not work??? I've also created several backups using Ghost, I think the latest version was 15. I removed that defective harddrive and installed a new harddrive. This new harddrive is blank and since you do not get any media, with new PC's now-a-days, I'm at a loss. I've tried several Norton Bootable Recovery Disk, but all they seem to want to do is to Restore my PC to an earlier date. There are no restore points on this blank harddrive.
How can I recover my PC, from my Ghost backups, if I can't load Ghost? I can't load Ghost because I don't have an operating system on that drive. Seems like a catch 22.
I could sure use some fixes before I pull the rest of my hair out.
