I do not think that bleaching my disks is actually doing anything. Since there is not much forum action on bleaching, so I assume that there is something basic that I am not doing. Here is my sequence:
Recover deleted files -> scan of C: = gives me a list of 100K files
Clean your disks -> Free space -> C:\ (and select Clean MFT records) = it takes a while for it to run like its doing something
Recover deleted files -> scan of C: = about the same 100K files. I would expect this to be close to 0
In doing recovery of some files at random, some still are recoverable, some are recovered with correct file lengths but garbled data (but I am wondering if the garbling is a side effect of using EFS for most of my files).
My machine is a IBM laptop, Windows 7 64 bit, NU version 15.0.0.124
Any suggestions?
