Blocked website emails arrive days late

This has been going on for a couple months now at least, but when a website is blocked or a site is blocked and a comment is made about the site by the child, the emails don't arrive immediately like they used to arrive.  There is a test I did a day or so ago that I haven't received yet, and the blocked site my 9 year old did Friday afternoon came over 24 hours later.  They almost never arrive quickly anymore, which makes them a bit useless as far as a notification goes.  Any ideas on how to fix this and make the emails immediate again? 

 

This is Windows 7 with Norton antivirus installed as well.  Browser is FireFox (auto updates, so current version).  Restarting does not help.
