Blocking a URL

I wish to block a specific URL from my computer.  One of the help pages said to go to Norton Internet security Online Main Window and Settings>Web>Safe Surfing>Block Malicious Page

I cannot find the Main Window.  I have been in and out of all the windows I can find under Norton 360 and cannot find anything concerning Web or Safe Surfing.

Where do I go, what do I do?

Thanks

Hi infocus:

Welcome to the Norton Community!

It can be done from the Internet Browser (security) level or by using Parental Controls (free add on.)

I don't think that NIS 2012 itself is engineered to do that.

Maybe others will have another opinion.

Hi,

We don't have that option available with NIS now where the user can select a particular URL to be blocked.

You can try our Norton DNS or Safety minder from Norton that would help to change your preferences for blocking any URL. As of now, NIS will block only Malicious and Phishing URLs by default.

Hi again:

Let me also add to the post by prasanna_a, that Safety Minder is part of Norton Online Family.

You can install it via NIS 2012 (Settings -> General -> Other Settings ->Parental Controls) or separately at this link.

It's really easy.
