A new issue has arisen with Blogger sites that have been previously verified with Norton Safe Web. This week Google rolled out more "country specific" URL relocators which are now dependent upon the country from which the blog is being viewed. This effectively offsets the original blogspot.com URL so Norton Toolbar no longer recognises the site as being the same.
My blog, tonybayfield.blogspot.com was verified on Safe Web last year and search engines display the green OK image. Since the country-specific URL relocator came into effect, my blog shows as tonybayfield.blogspot.co.uk when viewed from the United Kingdom and (although the search engine results still show the Green "OK"), the Norton Toolbar is rating it as "Caution / Known nuisances". The same will be happening when viewed from all the countries that now have the Blogger relocator appended.
This needs to be sorted out by Norton, even though it's a result of Google's tinkering with the blogspot.com TLD. Otherwise, Norton is doing a great disservice to all it's customers world-wide who happen also to use Blogger.
