I received msg to update my norton internet security suite version I tried to do that It asked me to buy it even though I have 35 days left on it - I tried to upgrade version seemed like it did it, but ever since my internet explorer /pc has been acting up and freezing up.I was unable to install the norton security suite via command prompt and I need to know how to be able to do that. I have 64 bit vista operating system which has x86 program files and just program files. I had also done some updates to my sony vaoi via sony website for my laptop before this norton upgrade issue came up. During that update I had installed an update version of the adapter but somehow got rid of it. Also somehow my pc kept searching for network adapter and I tried to install network adapter software for my sony vaio laptop via usb using command prompt but seems like the antivirus might has some thing to do with it . Even though the network adapter files were successfully run via dos prompt, computer still searches for network adapter after reboot and freezes up. Seems like the antivirus software might be interrupting it or something. So far I have got blue screen 3 times and only thing i can use is safe mode with dos prompt. Please advise.
