Blue Screen of Death and Can not up date Windows update

Everytime i try to run a full scan the blue screen appears also everytime i try to update my windows i cant. Any help is welcomeds

ok im running windows vista and Norton 360 v 4.0 and i keep getting the Windows Update error 80072efd every time i try to update

also how do i add windows update to the firewall list

You shouldn't need to do so.  It would normally be done automatically.  Are you having trouble getting automatic Windows updates, or are you going to Microsoft for updates?  If doing it manually, what browser are you using?

 

You don't add programs to the firewall rules.  If you need to allow a program, you go to Settings>Smart FirewallProgram Control>Configure> and add the .exe for whichever application you want to have access.

Restart the computer, boot into Safe Mode and then try to run a full system scan. Let us know if you still get any blue screen error.
