I have a Dell Studio Laptop and the Norton anti virus programme. The laptop has been infected with the boot.tidserv virus, which shows in a Norton pop-up window as 'remove failed' after doing a full Norton system scan. I have also tried the Norton Power Eraser and the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool wizard; both of which were unable to remove the virus.
I also tried a TDSS killer from kaspersky but that didn't work either.
I have been trawling the internet for information on how to deal with this and it's overwhelming to say the least. The laptop works fine otherwise, but for the presence of this virus.
Please can someone offer a detailed, full-proof solution.
