BOOTMGR is missing

We've seen lots of threads on this topic. When folks restore their Win7 image to a new HD but fail to restore the SRP to the new HD they don't have bootmgr.

 

Well we won't see this message with Win8 as bootmgr is present in the C: drive as well as the SRP. If you make the above mistake you will see a Windows Boot Manager error screen which clearly says to boot from your Win8 disk and click "Repair your computer". Unlike Win7, only a single repair is needed.

 

By the way, the Win8 SRP is 350 MB as it contains winre.wim.
