Hi, I have a Brother DCP-9022CDW Laser printer. The printer is a network printer that is used from several PCs.
With norton enabled, it it impossible to initiate a scan from PC or from the Printer to the PC. As soon as norton is disabled, everything works like charme. I tried to open the ports as described on the brother website, but it is still not working. I have not experienced similar issues with other security products from different vendors before.
Printing is no problem. Only scanning.
I would greatly appreciate support.

FWIW!! My experience over the years is. Networked printing within a "local network", NOT, printing from off-site to those printers, should never require using any VPN, its just not necessary. It will always cause issues. If this were a small business network that same suggestion still applies. If within a corporate network the IT admins will have done the necessary work to allow off-site as well as local printer server usage with the security software they have chosen.

In Windows make sure you add the .exe file (you can find the correct path by searching Yourprogram.exe in the windows search bar)
