Just bought a new desktop and I still have 3 months left on my existing subscription to 360 and have used all 3 possiable downloads to old desktop, laptop and moms computer. How can I transfer subscription from old desktop to new one???

or  if you have a norton acc  you can sing in from your norton acc and hit down lode right fom there  and the down lode will start right  up on your window 7 PC all so if your laptop came with norton NIS make sure you unstall it and restart be for you install norton 360

First things first --- many new computers come with a trial installation of a security program preinstalled for a free period. If yours has one you need to tell us what it is since in many cases you must uninstall it and then run a special tool to clean up before you install another brand or product.

 

If you don't know please give us the make and exact model ID for your new computer and we can check it out.

 

Don't worry about getting infected while installing Norton; the connections are clean and protected and provided you don't do anything else while downloading and installing the chance of you getting infected is pretty well zero.

 

Where are you trying to download the N360 from? From some Norton locations you will get only a Download Manager and then that has to run to download the installation files.

 

So please hold back from what you are doing and give us this necessary information.

I just bought a new computer and I read where you can get viruses and malware as soon as you connect to a computer even

if you are downloading virus protection and that if you install the security software first that came with the computer you can

still get malware and viruses when you hook up the internet to update your security program.  I read to download your Norton on

to your old computer and save it to a memory stick.  I am trying to download Norton 360 for windows 7 directly to a memory stick

so I can load it to my new computer before I hook it to the internet.  Can you help me with this.  I am a computer dummy.
