Greetings Symantec and fellow users of Symantec. I spent the last 2hrs with Technical Support trying to figure out why my Identity Safe wouldnt auto fill in Credit Cards. Even after downgrading to version 20.4 it still wouldnt fill in the Credit Card fields. Even Google Chrome wouldnt even detect Norton Toolbar.
But I'm here requesting that Symantec bring back the Credit Card Fill in option. And heres my story.
When I am surrounded by countless employees (Co Workers) we talk random subjects....sometimes the subject of Internet Shopping comes into play. I always rely and mention the name Norton Internet Security because it auto fills in the username and passwords and credit card information so keyloggers cannot access any data.
So what am I doing? Thats right I'm making a name for Symantec. I've made several comments to people to say "Hey buy Norton Internet Security so it will auto fill in the fields for you"
Now as I understand it, from talking to a Technician tonight the auto fill in was TAKEN AWAY because of user feedback. Well let me tell you that I didnt get any memo on this. You may have a million subscribers but how about a poll once in a while??!!! And particularly one that is crucial to this particular product! And also a notification via email because not everyone visits the forums daily
As I have said before I am but one person who works at Walmart that my current store employs 400-500 people. So by taking away the one thing that stood out amongst other Internet Suites I may not be mentioning this name (Norton,etc) And when I talk to 400 people, those 400 people will talk to their 400 people etc etc etc. and I think you get the picture.
HAVE A MEDIUM PLEASE!!! For example....in Version 20.4 I see an option up top that says "Login Assistant"; after clicking it, it can bring up my Credit Cards. Now instead of showing me the information I have saved, make it to where theres a "do you want to fill in the fields option"
Oh wait....I forgot....
So amongst every webpage that has a form....its easy...keep all logins locked up....just have that do hickey of a button at the top of the screen (toolbar) and problem solved for everyone right? No annoyances!
Then and only when a user really wants to fill in the fields, he/she has the power to do so...by clicking the above buttons on the toolbar....then by selecting what username/credit card...and then by unlocking the card for complete verification (if they chose) they in fact want to fill in the fields.

Now I am sorry....but 2 days ago I bought an item off Steam's PC Game Service that I had to physically type in the credit card information because I had no clue what was going on...thinking that the page wasnt working correctly....I tried 2 days later....TODAY and today still isnt working...then after chiming in at Tech Support around 9pm PST I find out that my latest version doesnt have that feature.
Then by 10:45pm PST all resources are exhausted from Tech because we still couldnt get it to work...well I'm now just gonna update back to the latest and PRAY for a patch for my request.
Like I said...give us users a poll to take....if you notify a lot of users for Norton Internet Security and the margin still says "no" thats fine; at least theres still some votes to keep it.
Until my patch goes live, I cannot recommend Norton Internet Security for Shopping Online anymore, because of the best feature in the world to me..........."the credit card auto fill in fields option"
