Browser Add-Ons

Gang.

I've had a few "Blocked" on the N360/3 firewall this week. It looks like Trusteer Rapport have upgraded their software and it's in conflict with N360/3.

I know, N360/3 is covering my "Identity Theft"; but, the banks are banging on about having Trusteer Rapport. If you don't use their software: what happens if . . . ?

I've attached a couple of screen captures.

Any way forward on this ?

The blocked hits started on the 5th June 2009. The current screen capture is attached, the original blocks have stopped in favour of the current capture. The software appears to be working correctly as it informs me it is functioning in the prescribed manner. The program uses IE and sits in the url address line.

I've removed the PID numbers because they may compromise my security, by relating to me.

Photo762,

This looks to be the Norton Tamper Protection blocking your Trusteer Rapport program from accessing Norton files.  It does not appear to be the Norton Firewall, so your Trusteer Rapport should not be having any issues with Norton blocking internet access.  Why some programs attempt to access Norton files is a mystery to me.  I have Google Earth installed and the Google Updater component is blocked by Norton Tamper Protection every few minutes.  At any rate, this is simply a Norton self-protection issue, and Trusteer Rapport should be able to do whatever else it needs to do, except interfere with Norton.
