It seems that IE, FF and Chrome are in such fierce competition, that they are pushing out new upgrades, with bugs unresolved, just to compete with one another!
I use IE for a while, then that acts up, so I switch to FF, then THAT acts up, so I go to Chrome....and the cycle goes on and on!
I wish they would take it slower and get the bugs out of ONE version!
I have disabled the "auto-update" for my browsers, as they keep updating to versions that aren't even compatible with my computer! Same with the add-ons.
Recently, I had to go back to Flash Version 10.3 from 11...as Flash kept popping up with errors all the time! What a pain! So, that was when I stopped the "auto update" of the addons.
What browser do others with XP use? I keep seeing in the support forums, that others (even with new computers) have to keep switching browsers, as I do. So, I know it's nothing I'm doing. I keep my computer clean, always clear the history/cookies, etc., upon signing off and run a virus scan over night, every night.
Others out there going through the effects of the "browser war", too?
