Browsers not loading pages

I installed the software on the laptop my son uses. It has Windows 7 Home Premium. After installing the Norton Online Family software, the browsers all stop loading pages. He can browse to his webmail but the pages loads up blank. This happened on his old laptop as well. But my daughter is working fine on her laptop. This makes no sence and really makes my wife and I worry. We really love this software. Can you please help?

The things is that all three laptops are setup the same way, and one works and two do not. What should I use for anti-virus that is free and compatible with Norton Online Family?

To solve this you need to change your browsers proxy settings.

For firefox go to Tools - options then select  advanced tab. Click on settings then select Manual proxy configuration. and beside HTTP proxy enter 127.0.0.1 and in port enter 12080

 

For internet explorer go to - Tools - Internet options then select - Connections then LAN settings. Select "use a proxy server..." and enter 127.0.0.1 and Port 12080.

No, I refuse to change the proxy settings. That is not how it is designed to work. I will just make sure I have a good anti-virus program that will work with it. I used one and then changed it and shortly after is when the problem started.

So what is the best anti-virus that will work with Norton Online Family?
