Issue abstract: Browsing chokes on Chrome for Windows but not on Mac or Chrome OS.

Detailed description:In recent weeks, Chrome on Windows has failed to load multiple sites that load just fine on Chrome for Mac OS or Chrome OS. Even Norton itself seems to be affected. I suspect that there is malware happening, but a boot level scan revealed nothing.

Product & version number:

OS details:Windows 11

What is the error message you are seeing?Varies by site. I can provide examples on demand.

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:

@Mark_Cederholm Uncheck/disable the HTTPS scanning feature in Norton, reboot and retest for us. Others are seeing the same issue.

Thanks for your reply. I turned the setting off and the problem went away. I turned it back on and the problem reappeared. So that definitely seems to be the issue. Thanks again!

Good news indeed. Glad we could help.

Thank you, this worked for me as well. I toggled HTTPS scanning off, rebooted, and toggled HTTPS scanning back on after the reboot. Browsers/websites look like they are functioning well.

~ my understanding:
Norton released a backend fix for this Website loading issue.
Please run LiveUpdate and Restart the machine and check if websites are loading as expected.
