Well I just installed NIS 2009 and blue screen of death also. I have tried every F8 option and the computer will not boot as it has an unbootable error message. In addition, installed my hard-drive as an external hard drive on another identical laptop and the system would not even recognize the hard-drive format as NTFS. It was recoginzed as a Raw with 0 bytes which basically means it was recognized as a unformated drive. What the heck! I have never had a reputable software product destroy my hard-drive on installation. The tech support wasn't bad as I beleive the felt sorry for me because they knew I was screwed. Norton needs to take this product of the market and start researching what the heck is going on before they destroy anymore computers. I did research the product before and it was getting great reviews but unforntuately I did not come across this board. If it matters I uninstalled Trend Micro before installing NIS 2009. I suspect something happened here but who knows...Symantec sure doesn't.
