[Bug] Error 3038,103 when scanning specific RAR files (details included)

Bug:

 

When scanning WinRAR files created in a specific way (see details), Norton will generate an error: 3038,103. Norton then tries to locate an automated fix but is unsuccessful.

 

Details:

 

To reproduce this bug you create a password protected archive with filenames encrypted:

 

  1. Create a dummy file (anything.txt)
  2. Right-click on it and choose "WinRAR -> Add to archive" (assuming you have shell integration turned on)
  3. Select the "Advanced" tab
  4. Click "Set Password"
  5. Type a password and check "Encrypt Filenames" **
  6. Click "OK"
  7. Click "OK"
  8. Once finished, right-click the archive and scan it with Norton. The scan should cause an error

** If you repeat the above steps but skip step 5, the scan will be successful. Norton seems to be unable to cope with the encrypted filenames.
