Hi,
Every time I start my computer I get an annoying, flashing icon in the right corner of the status bar in Windows. When doing a mouse over I get the following message: "Low disk space!" and when double clicking on it I can see that LiveUpdate is causing the warning.
The full error message reads:
Warning: LiveUpdate has encountered a low disk space condition on one or more hard disks on your system.
LiveUpdate is unable to retrieve and install all available updates -- This can leave your system vulnerable.
It is recommended that you free up disk space on your system so that LiveUpdate can provide you with the best protection.
Do you want to launch Windows Disk Cleanup now?
If I respond yes to the question and thereby choose to to start Disk Cleanup nothing happens.
This warning is driving me insane since I know for a fact that I do have plenty of disk space left on all drives. My c-drive is 50 GB large and I have more than 6 GB of disk space left. I have searched the web for hours for a solution and tried various things but nothing seems to help. Among other things I have tried to delete everything in my windows temp folder and I have deleted everything in c:\Windows\prefetch after reading some tips on the net but nothing helps. The only thing I have been able to find out is that there seems to be several others that are, or have been, experiencing the same problem.
If anyone has any solution to this problem PLEASE tell me.
I'm running Vista and Norton Internet security 2010 (17.0.0.136).
