Since May 2013, several NIS and N360 users have reported that they no longer see the Norton Safe Web site rating icons next to each search result when they use Google as their search engine. One common workaround to fix this problem is to change the Google Instant predictions setting from the default "Only when my computer is fast enough" to "Never show Instant results" in the Google search settings (see one thread on this topic here in the Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe board and another here in the Norton Internet Security / Norton Antivirus board). Unfortunately, this workaround is only temporary since clearing your browser history can reset your Google search settings back to its defaults.
When I search for the string "Galileo" from the main Google page (e.g., www.google.com, www.google.ca, www.google.co.uk) using either my Firefox v. 23.0.1 or IE 9 browser, here are the results when:
Google Instant Results are Enabled
Google Instant Results are Disabled
Is Symantec working on a bug fix for this issue? It seems to be a common problem.
