I recently blocked a program from accessing a specific website using "block this instance". Later I went back to create a rule for the program so I opened "View Recent History", then selected "Firewall - Activities", typed the program into the "Quick Search" box and when found, selected it and clicked "More Options".
In older versions of Norton Internet Security, this dialog would include the destination (IP or www) but in Norton 360, this information is missing. Despite the destination IP or www being included in the initial alert, the log only shows:
Program Name, Program Path, Default Action, Action Taken, Local Computer, Traffic Description
The traffic description was simply "Outbound TCP, https" but didn't tell me the destination of the traffic from the initial alert (IP or www) which is needed to create a rule.
I'm aware the initial alert has a "manual configure" option but at the time I was about to step away from my computer and didn't have time to create the rule. Without this information in the log, I also can't come back later and create it.
Please add the destination IP or www to the firewall history log so we have more flexibility regarding when we create rules.
Thank you.
