Hi rich,

If you download n360v6 from http://www.norton.com/n360s_6 (standard edition)  you can save it to a CD.  This will be trial and will need to be activated.  You can also save it to a USB flash drive.

I hope this helps.

Dave.

But you would have to connect to the internet to download this file!

This is true!

You will also need internet connection while installing as N360 likes to phone home as part of the process,  or you may receive an error code.

Hi Rich

You can follow the above Instructions from the above posts to burn it and Install it from the CD. But Internet Connection is must at the time of activating the product as the Subscription is verified communicating with our Server to synchronize.

Also the Internet Connection is required to update the Virus Definitions of the norton Product to identify the Recently Released Threats/Viruses.

Rich,

Or you can just download it and copy it to a thumbdrive and use that to install .... you don't have to boot up to it.

Using a thumbdrive is convenient since the downloadable version is updated from time to time whereas the disk you buy and use is not updated.

Either way has the advantage that you can download on someone else's computer if you have a slow or metered internet connection.

But as everyone says at some point you have to connect to the internet to complete the installation and activation.
