I just figured out that my child has been able to use her device when it should be blocked. If she quickly and repeately trys to access an app it will eventually glitch out and allow her to do anything she wants. If it is this easy to bypass there is something wrong.

Hello @Susan_Skinner
Welcome to the Norton Community!
Best – to document/report “issue” directly via Norton support.
Note: for an official Norton response – open a support case:
Norton Support Help Center → Contact us (bottom of page)
Contact Norton Support → Let’s get started | Welcome (signed in)
Report the Bug
Since this appears to be a genuine software bug (not just a permissions issue), the best next step is to collect debug logs and submit them to Norton support so they can investigate:
Android : In the Norton Family app, go to Account > Settings > three-dot menu (⋮) > Device logs → enable Debug Log → reproduce the glitch → return and tap Send error report with log files .
iOS : Go to the device’s Settings app → Norton Family → enable Debug Log → reproduce the issue → open the app → Account > About > ⋮ > Send device logs .
Include a clear description: “Child can bypass app blocking by rapidly and repeatedly tapping the blocked app; after several attempts Norton stops enforcing the restriction.”
Interim Workaround
Until a fix is available, consider locking the device from the parent side during restricted hours using Instant Lock in the Norton Family parent app, which is harder to bypass than per-app blocking.
Windows tablets and 2-in-1s (Surface, etc.) are fully valid targets for Norton Family, and the rapid-tap bypass would work identically on a touchscreen. The debug log path is the same as any other Windows device:
Open the Norton Family app → Settings → Troubleshooting → enable Debug Log .
Reproduce the glitch (rapidly tap the blocked app until it gives out).
Disable the debug log, then use the Norton Support Tool to collect and send the logs to support.
To collect debug logs for Norton Family , you must have version 7.1 or later installed. Open the app in Child Mode , tap the child avatar , and select Report an Issue . Toggle the Enable Debug Logs slider to On , reproduce the problem, then toggle the slider back Off . Finally, tap Send Email , enter nfandroid.support@gendigital.com, and attach any relevant comments or steps to reproduce the issue.
For Norton 360 mobile apps, the process varies by platform:
Android : Go to Account > Settings > tap the ⋮ menu > Device logs . Toggle Enable Debug Log on, reproduce the error, then return to the same menu to tap Send error report with log files .
iOS : Navigate to device Settings > Apps > Norton 360 and toggle Enable Debug Log on. Return to the app, go to Account > About > ⋮ menu > Send device logs .
On Windows and Mac , open the Norton main interface, go to Settings , and select the Troubleshooting tab. Toggle Enable Debug Logs on, reproduce the issue, and use the Send Report or Send Logs option to submit the data to support. For comprehensive logs, you can also download and run the Norton Support Tool , which automatically gathers debug logs and crash reports.
