Can Anyone Identify This Virus?

I am receiving virus emails every few days from a member of my extended family. It always shows as "Sent" from one of their three names but has a different "From" address. This has happened sporadically for last 3 years but lately it has become very frequent (every couple of days) plus now always from the same name (Monique Farmer). There is a suspect link embedded that it wants me to click on. I have never clicked on the link and just delete the emails. Can anyone identify what the virus is and where it would be residing? I believe it is on their computer but that family denies it and they say it is my fault. They said they had some kid down the road look at their old PC and he said everything was fine. It has caused a family dispute. Below are two copies of the virus emails with the links:

 I thought you might find it helpful   http:// dd.g16.news14722 . press/

I would like to know:

1) What the virus is

2) Where it normally resides

3) What damage it can do

4) How can I get rid of it

Can anyone in Norton or the Forum help?

Thanks

Have your extended family member check their "Sent" folder.  If there are no copies of the emails you have received there, then their computer is probably not involved and there is no virus sending the emails, although any links or attachments would almost certainly be malicious.  It appears that the emails are coming from different addresses, which means they are being sent from accounts controlled by the spammers, and not from the account of your extended family member.  Most likely a contact list containing your address had been compromised and the spammers are just routinely sending things to your address.  If these are not coming from your extended family member's account, their computer is likely not involved, and there is no virus generating the emails.

I regularly receive these type/same of emails purportedly from certain Facebook friends but they don’t send them. I don’t believe I’m infected with anything so I doubt you are.
