Hi
I read with interest these posts about NIS2009/NAV2009 not detecting different threats.As someone who does not know a lot about this area,I was wondering would someone explain to a uneducated computer user( uneducated in picking up virus's,Trojans etc) How this happens.Do the people making these posts go looking for these threats or do they just come across them by accident(which I assume is how they should be found)
If you were finding that many unknown threats would you not change your surfing habits? To look at the whole approach to surfing the net as well as taking into account the software's responsibilities in prevention/protection(sorry if I'm naive)
Do these failed detections involve the firewall etc.I have a lot of questions but I just want to know is NIS/NAV such a bad product for an average Mum/Dad user?
What are your opinions.
