I have an old Toshiba laptop with a busted screen. It has windows XP on it and several USB ports and a 40gig 2.5 inch hard drive.
I also have another desktop that has no hard drive. I want to keep the laptop drive info, mainly the OS, and put it on the desktop. I don't want to waste money on this as I will be giving the desktop away and tossing the laptop.
I have Norton 14, and the laptop has less than 16gig of info on the laptop hd.
So Can I make an image of the laptop drive and image it to a 16gig usb memory stick, then take the image from the memory stick and put it on a standard size ide hard drive?
Thanks for the input....
