My husband has a Norton account. I have a Norton account. I’d like to have only one, but I am getting (vastly) conflicting answers from the support techs at Norton. One told me had consolidated the accounts (but he hadn’t). Another told me it couldn’t be done. My husband’s subscription expires in December. Can anybody tell me how to move him over to my account without interruption in service. Surely, this can’t be so complicated.

Since the rgistration of the product is done based on the user's name, your husband might be able to change his registration into your name. I don't know if there is a way for them to have two names on the same account.
Thanks. I don't need two names on the account. I just don't want two different accounts for one household. If he changed the name and email on his account might it merge with mine? I'll give it a try.

I don't think that you can merge two Norton Accounts as it is registered under two different email address. And, if you try to change the email address and name, it may give you the message that another Norton Account already exists with Symantec. Better contact the Symantec Customer Services through the following link, they can check and let you know if it is possible:
