Can I enter a new key before my NIS 2009 expired?

If you still have 100 days left for your NIS subscription, and you want to update to NIS 2009, visit http://www.norton.com/nis09 to get the free update. Once installed, it will “pick up” your existing NIS subscription time. Just before the 100 days comes to an end, enter the new key into NIS 2009. This will extend your subscription period for the amount of subscription time on the new key. Thanks!

No, I didn't mean that.
I meant, I already use NIS 2009 now, and I have 100 days to use it.
But now I have another new key, can I enter the new key make my NIS 2009 become 466 days?
Or.. if I enter a new key, it will become 366 days, and the previous 100 days I have can't be used?

Wait until the 100 days expires, then enter your new key. If you enter your new key now, it wont add on to the existing 100 days left on the old key.

I entered the new key now that I updated from NIS2008  to NIS2009 and have 390 days left.   I lost no time for my subscription.

Well, it seems like you lost most of your previous subscription time if you have only 390 days remaining.

Edit: Sorry, got the posts mixed up during the dialogue.

So if I entered, it will become 466 days?

I see other have an experience that you wouldn’t lost any time. I wouldn’t trust it. i would wait a bit

I have never seen Norton add new key days to remaining key days, so I would be cautious, too.  Once you activate a new key, you can't change the initial date that it bases remaining days on.

Perhaps Tony had a two-year subscription with 390 days left?

Perhaps. Or he might have used a "Subscription Renewal Key" instead of a "Product Activation Key". For clarification of susbcription issues, please check out my new Announcement on the subject. Thanks!
