Some time ago I opened thread http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Toolbar-Norton-Identity/Can-I-have-only-rating-tagging-of-search-results-without-the/m-p/827802#M4662 with the following question:
"Using Chrome with NAV2013. I like the rating of search engine results (Norton safe web ratings, AFAIK) but I simply hate the toolbar. I do not use the identity vault and never will. Is it possible to have the tagging of search results, without having the toolbar installed/operating? Any way to keep it active, but always hidden in chrome somehow?"
I do not know why I can post to that old thread, hence for this new one.
Has anyone managed to keep safe web search functionality in the standalone identity safe, but having got rid of the recurring messages to enable identity safe? Anyone? The safe web functionality is pretty good, however there is no chance I will ever enable identity safe. No options to disable it once and for all btw.
Any info will be kindly appreciated. Even though I must say I'm pretty disappointed so far with this toolbar. Even free products like the free AVG and avast offer marking off safe/not-safe pages...
