I have purchased a Norton 360 vers. 3.0 last Christmas that gives 1 year protection for up to 3 PCs.
I have installed Norton onto my computer and my 2 other labtops. But recently, my computer stopped functioning properly and so I've decided to buy a new laptop.
I was wondering if transferring the remaining Norton from my computer to my new laptop was possible?
Would I have to delete Norton from my computer then try entering in the product code to my new laptop?
If anyone could help me by answering this question would be a Great !
chunhae,
There shold be no serious problem in transferring the outstanding time to a new computer.
Delete it from the old, not in use computer and install it on the new. When going to activate either enter the old key manually when it comes to Activate now using the Using existing key OR if you did create a My Norton Account when you first installed N360 point it there.
If it then says you have exceeded the number of activations allowed just get in touch with Norton's CustomerSupport, tell them you uninstalled and want to install on a new computer and they will reset the activation record so that you can.
First, since any copy of N360 is likely to be seriously out of date here are instructions for downloading a copy onto your new computer:
New N360 V4:
Click on the link that matches your version:
Norton 360 v4 Standard: www.norton.com/n360s_4 <<--- Standard version with 2GB of online storage
Norton 360 v4 Premier: www.norton.com/n360p_4 << Premiere version with more online storage
Note that you should run LiveUpdate a few times manually after installing since there may be a further update that only comes down through LiveUpdate and not from the download site.
And, if you need to here is how to contact Customer Support:
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.
You can choose CHAT or Email; phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
I hope that helps -- Note what I say about country you are in applies to both getting the right localized version of N360 and for customer support -- go to your local country/region website.
Let us know if you need more information and also how you get on please.
Hello chunghae
You can also update your other 2 computers to version 4 for free since you have a valid subscription for N360 by downloading the same link to your other computers.
