Can I uninstall Norton360 and install again?

Hi,

I am currently having issues with my computer. Prior to installing Norton360, I've been using AVG Free and AVG has detected a Win32/heur infection. (Surprisingly, Norton360 was not able to detect this.) Anyway, I would like to uninstall it first until after I clean my laptop, then re-install. Will I be able to maintain my "account"? I still have 300+ days left from my subscription and I'm afraid I might lose it if I uninstall. Please advise.

Hi Leamon,

Welcome to the community...!

Yes, you can very well uninstall & reinstall the product on the same machine and you will be able to maintain same account even after reinstalling.

Just use the same product key to activate the product again on reinstallation that would do all.

Regards,

Prasanna.

Awesome! Thanks for a fast reply!

I hope you are not using Norton 360 and  AVG Free (or any other security application) at the same time. They an interfere with each other -- this is not just a Norton thing but general.

If AVG and Norton have been on your computer at the same time or even in succession you need to use a clean up tool and not just Windows Uninstaller.

Let us know and we can point you to the Norton and the AVG ones on their respective websites and give you a route to reinstall Norton 360 painlessly ....
