My company makes several devices which use an external PC for GUI and device controls. Recently, we put in a software patch on some devices, which required upgrading the external PC to Windows XP SP3.
The problem is, some of our older devices in the field use older PCs, some of the PCs running Windows 2000.
If we have our current PC, with just Windows XP SP3 on it, and then used Norton Ghost to make a master image... can we then use this image to upgrade the software in our older PCs? Will it install on different hardware, or will there be driver conflicts?
