Yes where your little pointer is maybe 2nd from the bottom it says wmdmpmsp service(no portable serial number service written after it JUST service). Then on your other screenshot I have that one(wmdmpmsn which then states its name) exactly how it is read on the screenshot.Thats what I'm trying to work out should I have 2 that apparently are the same thing except one ends with the letters sn the other sp?thanks for working me thru this.Is this clearer?

Mo

Hi  Mo

I don't have this service Nor do I have the file  "C:\windows\system32\MsPMSPv.exe" on my PC

I comes with Media Player 7.

I don't have it and use MP11, In reading people do disable it. and some people with Media Player 10 and 11 don't seem to need it. and disable it.
