Can Norton be disabled by a Virus?

Hello,

I am not sure if I am in proper forum for Norton Security Suit (I assume is Norton 360 provided by Comcast). Today I noticed that my Norton System Tray icon wasn't listed in my System Tray. Furthermore, I also noticed that my Windows Security Center Service is turned off. Then I proceeded and launch Norton Security Suit and checked History. That last log was posted at 7:35 on 6/29 with Unauthorized Access blocked (Open File) by WMI Provider Host service. Then nothing follows till 3:07 (same day) when I launch Norton Security Suit. Am I too assume that during this period, I was unprotected? My PC is currently in a DMZ zone.

Sincerely yours

What version of Windows are you running?

Have you checked the up arrow head alongside the system tray to see if the Customize list shows that the Norton Icon should be shown all the time and not just if there is a notification.

We do support the COMCAST version of N360 here so you are in the right place but I don't know N360 well enough so hang on for some more help.
