If you have other Internet Security systems Installed on your computer other than Norton, un-install them so that Norton Internet Security 2008 is the only Security Product Running on your system as there will be conflicts if you have more-than-one Security Products Installed with Norton. so you should only have N.I.S. 2008 Installed.
N.I.S. 2008 should not affect your computer/Downloads in any way whatsoever as this is a very, very light application on your computer; it is the best N.I.S. to-date.
No I deleted the Trialware before installation. I did not delete the Norton Trialware before installation hopefully it did not hurt anything. It is just so frustrating not knowing if the virus is out of my system or still hiding inside
Do you have any other Anti-Virus Program on your system other than Norton?
I would suggest Updating your Norton Product via LiveUpdate - which includes the Virus Definitions - multiple times a day and Run a Full System Scan after you get these; you can keep up-to-date with Intrusion Prevention Signatures' (Security Updates) and Virus Definitions' Release via the Security Response in Business Section. If nothing shows up in the next few weeks, then your system will be Virus-free.
