Can not recover v2i

I only have one v2i file.  When I to recover it, I receive two error messages:

EC8F178F and EC8F03F1.

 

Any suggestions?

I target is an empty Western Digital external drive.

In the SRD, open the .v2i file using Recovery Point Browser (Recover > Recover My Files) and see if the image passes verification.

do not mean to sound ignorant, what is SRD?

i have ghost 10

Double click the image file and it should open in the recovery browser. Then follow Red's picture.

Note you have to have the image selected on the left hand side to get the "verify" button to become active.

did what you said and double clicked the file...the recovery point browser opened...got an Error EA39070A

Where is the file located? USB drive, DVD?

Can you connect the USB drive to another PC and run Recovery Point Browser to see if it will verify?

 

You can copy it from...

.."C:\Program Files\Norton Ghost\Browser\V2iBrowser.exe".

..on the Ghost 10 CD.. "CD DRIVE\I386\SHELL\V2I\V2IBROWSER.EXE".

..or get a copy HERE. (Right click, save link as..)

 

One more thing you could try is the Ghost 15 SRD and see if it will open your v2i file.
